HDX Anti-Reflective Coating

Pilla Performance Optics uses state-of-the art anti- reflective coatings. Our new HDX Anti-Reflective is found on all our Professional HDX Ballistx lenses. These coatings prevent any stray light from effecting vision from both the front side and backside of the lens. This revolutionary coating removes all visual noise from the lens surface offering crystal clear vision. This improvement in filtration of light enhances the performance of our trademark high-resolution color enhancing technology.

HDX Hydrolio Coating

HDX Hydrolio coatings are exclusive to Pilla Performance Eyewear. This technology is a front-side and backside lens coating that has both Hydrophobic qualities as well as Oleophobic qualities. The combined coating creates superior performance in both technological advancements of hydrophobics and oleophobics.

1. Sheets water directly off the front of the lens.
2. Reduces smudging of finger prints.
3. Adds a hard coat for easy cleaning and added scratch resistance.

Pilla uses this high performance coating to help our lenses perform in adverse weather conditions and to make the lens easy to clean while adding a hard coat to the front side of the lens.

HDX Dielectric Flashing

Accelerate Light and Reduce Glare–Pilla uses Dielectric Flashing, an advanced technology, to give our Ballistx Lenses an additional high performance feature. Our Dielectric Flashing is a multi-layer coating system that is absorptive in nature to increase the performance of light transmission.

Our Flash technology accelerates light and reduces glare through the lens creating brighter site pictures. This brighter site picture enhances the high contrast and color enhancing properties of our lens technology.

Our Dielectric Flashing produces a slight “Mirror” effect to our lenses. This is not a bold reflective mirror that you find in many fashion sunglasses that you can comb your hair with by looking into the lens. Our Flashing produces a soft stylish effect to the lens while intensifying available light and reducing glare.

HDX Anti Fog

Pilla Performance Eyewear uses state-of-the-art anti fog treatments to reduce steaming and fogging of the backside of the lens surface. This is a coating that will never wear off and can be continually reactivated by just washing the lens with soap and water. HDX Anti-Fog coatings are used on specialty lenses.
